Samuel Walker from BIG co-facilitates the REACH Wellbeing Program with Jillian le Gros from Bayside Mental Health Service generally once a year - offering their unique blend of lived experience and mental health nursing perspectives. This interdisciplinary approach makes for an incredibly rich and diverse program where people who experience mood disorders like depression and bipolar can learn together new skills and strategies that support positive mental health and boost wellbeing.
Samuel Walker is a lived experience practitioner and the Coordinator of BIG, a purely peer-operated mental health community on Brisbane’s Bayside. He brings to the group his unique peer perspective as someone who has not only lived with a mood disorder for over 20 years, but has learned to live well. Jillian Le Gros is a clinical mental health nurse with Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience from years of both clinical and community practice. Together they form a dynamic and diverse team who facilitate a truly transformative program for people wishing to work on their recovery from mental health challenges.
